I came up with a question regarding a landing interview. I currently live in Canada and my daughter (my dependant on the application) lives in a different country. She is only 14 months old. What would happen when it comes to the landing interview? Will CIC conduct an interview with me first and then allow me to bring my child to Canada and let her have one? That would not make any sense since she can't even talk. Anyone in my shoes before?

I am also wondering if I could send her passport along with mine and get PR cards for both of us at the same time. I know the official way would be to bring her to Canada first and present Copr at the port of entry. But, I would rather wait longer at home than going through the long process waiting at the immigration office. Do you think can it be done this way? Hope there is someone here who had experienced this...

She has to have a signed COPR before she can get a PR card. So she has to have a visa in her passport, come to Canada, and land. She won't land outside of Canada, and cannot get a PR card without landing.

The landing interview is generally just a verification of identity.

A dependent is not issued COPR before a PR candidate who is in Canada - so you will land first, and then you will send her passport in to a visa office and get a PR-1 visa. She can then come to Canada and land. Assuming she'll be travelling with family.
