Thanks Ankit but it seems one need to be a member to get this reading!!

oops I did'nt realize that. I became member yesterday and found the doc on the group and though that it was in public domain

This is a good read for new comers who are single and tell how you should approach living in a new culture and making friends. It suggests to learn Canadian English even if you know this language well to make network. It gives tips about managing your money, goal management and keeping high motivational levels. It encourages to ask for help, celebrate the new culture, holidays and to enjoy weather.

You may find similar content at many places, but it was all put together in one place so I thought of recommending this. This work is funded by CIC and copyright by Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.

I have posted this web series before. It is a group of New Canadians sharing their experiences and offering advice for people coming to Canada. I believe the videos on Finding Work, The Language Barrier, and Advice for New Canadians offers some great insights.
