Hi, I had a few (probably silly) questions about extending my visit with my girlfriend as we hope to establish common law!
For some backstory, I'm from the US and I've been residing/existing here in Canada for 5 months thus far with my girlfriend at her mother's house and we've decided we want to try and establish common law so I can attain PR here! (and this is the reason for the extension, so I can gather the necessary proofs/documents over a continuous 12 month period)
So firstly, her and her mother have both been fully financially supporting me (as I can't work here of course). I was wondering if my girlfriend and her mother's Financial Support letter needs to be handwritten (as I'm submitting the application electronically/online). I imagine that the best route would be for them to both handwrite the letters and scan it into one .PDF, but would it be possible or acceptable to just have both of them type up their letters in a word document?
And lastly, my girlfriend is self employed and gets paid primarily through PayPal. Are PayPal statements sufficient to prove financial support or would it have to be bank statements/drafts?
