I'm wondering a few things about applying for the Permanent Residency visa; I'm currently here on an IEC 2-year work permit expiring in August 2014.

All the information I currently know is from the CIC Skilled Immigration page (can't link, don't have forum permissions yet... the part after the base URL is /english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-employment.asp)

Based on the information there, is it true to say that if I have *any* job offer for full-time work, all I have to do is apply for PR once I take the job? If I do this, would I still have to be in this same job throughout the entire application process, until I receive the PR visa, or is it OK to switch full-time jobs while the PR visa is processed?

Since the requirements state that I must have a valid work permit when the PR visa is issued, if it takes longer than August 2014 (when my current one expires, and given the current queue lengths, this seems likely) is it OK if I get a new work permit?

Thanks for any help :D
