A few queries regarding the Student Visa

Hello all,

[size=10pt]I have had a few questions in my mind for quite some time, after being unable to find the solution i am posting them here:

1- First of all i may be getting a Conditional offer from University of Waterloo, to complete my CIE A Levels with minimum grades of ABB. So do i have to apply for the visa when i get the conditional offer(which technically is not a acceptance letter), that will be sometime around end of May, or when i will fulfill the conditions ie by mid of August which might be a little late as i will be joining the September batch

2- How do i basically apply for the student visa? i mean like can i apply for the visa online via canadian visa site or i would have to go to the embassy? because i have heard that they have implemented this new feature to apply online since december 2012. Please dont send me a link, this type of information is scarce there

3- When i looked at the processing times for my country if i were top apply online, it said 25 weeks! which is insane as you dont even get the conditional offer that early

4- Do i need to provide any additional proof of proficiency in English(eg IELTS TOEFL) even if the university has waived it off? [/size]

I would be really grateful if anyone takes time to answer my questions

1.As far as i know you can apply visa on conditional acceptance letter
2.I recomoned you to apply paper base .... you can send your application through courier by this you can track your application
3.Normally chc ISB give replies within month so dont worry about processing time
4.its better to provide ielts although its not embassy requirement but it makes your case strong

and one more question. Is the student visa specific for a single university only or is it a general visa. I mean like i have got the letter of acceptance from Western University, though i may not go there, so can i apply for the visa on the basis of letter of acceptance western university and then in the end when i receive the visa go to Waterloo? or would i only be able to goto Western then?

AS far as my knowledge we get open study permit we can go any uni or college after reaching there but you have to study same level of education on which u get study permit
