Hi,

* Is it correct that even if you have more than 67 points, you still need a job offer if you don't qualify under any of the 38 occupations?

* Suppose I get a job offer, do I actually need to accept the job? If yes, how long do I need to stay in the job?

* If I quit while the PR application is being processed, does that mean processing will stop, or just that I won't get the 10 points from arranged employment?

Thanks,

Thanks,
1. Job offer fetches 10 points, if your points are above qualifying marks i.e 67 then there is no need of AEO for applying.
2. Once your application is approved, you are at will not join or not to join the job .
3. If your leave the job in between the process, your will not get 10 points from AEO.

Thanks for the reply, by are you sure about 1?

One of the pages on cic.gc.ca says this:

According to the eligibility criteria, your application is eligible for processing if:
  • you have an offer of arranged employment, OR
  • you are a foreign national who has been living legally in Canada for one year as a temporary foreign worker or an international student, OR

  • you are a skilled worker who has at least one year of experience* in one or more of the occupations listed here.

but neither of those apply to me unless I get a job offer. (The last one doesn't apply because my experience is not in one of the 38 jobs).

You need to have any 1 of the 3 conditions plus 67 points to qualify for PR under FSW

Right, that's how I understood it as well. That means I'll need a job offer. So if I get that job offer,

- Do I have to _accept_ the job, or the offer itself enough?

- If I do need to accept it, for how long do I need to stay in the job?
