Hi everybody,

I entered Canada as EU citizen on a 90 days visitor entry. During the holidays I've spend 8 days in the US (by bus from Montreal to Boston, by train from NY to Montreal).

During this trip I got a new Canadian entry stamp. Does this mean that my 90 days visitor status is reset, and can stay another 90 days? I have been looking for guidelines about this regulation, but hard to find official information.

Thanks!

Best,
Martijn

How do you know it was 90 days?

That's a good question. The person responsible for my stay here told me, I'm contracted as consultant for a company in Montreal.

Indeed, based on the information on the Immigration website (cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=1016&t=16), it reads that it is normally 6 months. The officer at the border didn't make any special note, so I guess that the 6 months is the allowed time to stay in Canada as visitor.

Thanks!
