600 or 1200 !

1- I am wondering if the points will be counted out of 600 or 1200 ? Will people with more than 600 considered differently or treated all the same out of 1200 under the express entry ?

2- How many people will be drawn under the express entry ? I read somewhere 2000 monthly another says total of 225,000 for how long or which is correct ? Any thoughts ?

1. answer to your first question - points will be calculated out of 1200 itself .people with more than 600 points which is only possible if he/she has job offer with LMIA or PNP nomination won't be treated differently. what will be different or you can say guaranteed in their case is that they will be sure to get ITA as they will be having very high score and will be ranked higher in the pool. this has been done on purpose as canadian govt want people with job offer and/or pnp to be invited early.

nobody knows as to how many number of people will be taken out of each draw . the 2000 is a rough figure which has been deduced based on that if 50000 skilled worker are to be given PR under EE and since their are 2 draws each months so total number of draws would be 24 and if you do the math it comes out to be roughly 2000. but then we don't know what would be realistic scenario. it is completely possible that in some draw they take more number of candidates based on demand. so demand and supply will be applied depending upon market situation/demand etc.
