Hi everyone,
we have received instructions for re-medical yesterday. VO had announced 1 month ago via email, that we will receive these instructions and were thus asking for new adress (1 month ago). So yesterday, the letter was in the mail BUT: inside was an OLD backdated letter of Sep 05 with the old adress. According to that letter, we have 60 days to send documenst back, otherwise, app will be declined. SEP 05-Nov 05, that's 60 days. I have proof that letter was sent on Oct 17th, 6 weeks after date of letter because the stamp says that on the envelope.
I sent them email about this, but as usual they don't answer. Do I have to worry, since they have sent it late and included an old letter with old address? What should I do? Should I contact MP? Can they decline him?

Hello, I used to had a case like your's but mine was Police Clearance Abroad. My VO send's me email asking to get PC abroad the email dated Feb 8, 2012 but I received the email Feb. 13, 2012. But some problem happened the Embassy of the country that I used to stay for more than 6 months they cannot help me because they dont release PC, they also explained that they can only release a VISA that's all they can do for me.

Then because i'm afraid that i'm running out of time my VO gave me 60 days to comply that is why I applied for a VISA worth $120 successfully after 3 days I got the VISA to go in that country and get the PC in my own. Unfortunately because the plane ticket was too expensive my hubby cannot afford so I just asked a friend to get it for me after.

It took few months before I got the PC April 2012 but the details are wrong then I asked another one and they sent me May 29, 2012 but i felt so disappointed because my 2nd PC request is still wrong. I paid $500 all in all for the fee, taxi fee for my friend and for the DHL delivery.

As soon as I received it I sent it right away together with explanatory letter why it took that long. On the explanatory letter I put my name on it, address, file number on the top of the letter. And then successfully delivered to my VO June 4, 2012 then my status in ECAS changed to In Process June 5, 2012.

If I were you Ma'am/Sir do your medical even though the day that your VO gave you expires just include a explanatory letter. Atleast you try even though it's late. But I think it's not too late, like what I've done I tried to comply even though I ran out of time.

You can't just seek for a help from your MP if your Application is not under Processing time yet.

Notify them that you got the letter late; show proof. Then send in what they want as soon as possible, with another letter explaining why it is delayed. If they reject because of this, contact the program manager at your embassy right away (by fax, email, registered letter) explaining the situation and asking to be reconsidered. If they reject because of the delay, also get your MP involved as soon as possible. I have seen cases that were overturned by the program manager when there was an obvious mistake, so it is worth trying.

I just remembered something: the wording of the email that I received asking for new adress was the same as in the letter, so it stated there too, that I have 60 days. Could then those 60 days count as well starting from the email, instead of the backdated letter?

Thanks, and 60days is that 60 working days or normal days?

60 days including Sat-Sun. and Holidays. Start counting on the letter date itself ...
