Hello,

I have completed this form - my spouse is sponsoring me.

However I do not have some details for one my siblings such as marital status and address. Does CIC verify any of the details we provide on this form or are they just for record purposes? I applied for a visit vise a few years ago and provided all the details which I knew were up to date.
However, I don't have much contact with my sibling. I really don't want to go into the details of why I am not in touch with one of my siblings. Can i omit the entry for this particular person? Does CIC have the record from the previous form which i submitted?

I do not want to misrepresent anything. THanks
Yes they do. Try asking your other siblings?

they don't know for certain either. Isn't the point of this form to provide information on all my blood relations who I might sponsor in the future. Given that I wouldn't sponsor said sibling ever in the future does it even matter.

I think he was married a few years ago but isn't living with his spouse anymore - Also I dont know where he lives. Any advice would be appreciated.

No, you can't omit him. Put what you know and explain on a separate sheet.

The reason isn't for possible sponsorship in the future. It's for background and security checks. If you have a family member who is a criminal or a terrorist, IRCC would be interested. (just as an example)

thanks for your reply. Have you got any suggestions? Should I just fill the details as best as I know - other than the background and security check, it shouldn't matter if he is married and which property he is living at?
