Planning to travel in May 2022, I assume that arrival testing and all will still continue next year though.
Do you know if 4 hours is enough for the testing and landing at the first port of entry (in my case Vancouver) before boarding a connecting flight to Edmonton?
My planned route is Singapore - Hong Kong - Vancouver - Edmonton, via Singapore Airlines/Cathay Pacific, then Air Canada.

Please help!

That's a little risky for YVR.
Landing on time? Scan passport, security, immigration, luggage, covid testing,

Might be worth booking to YVR then when everything is done book another flight to Edmonton then. Aaaaa I have 4 giant suitcases and I'm... small.

If you don't have any friends locally to help then book one of the ' better ' hotels near the airport. They have a free shuttle bus and you don't have to carry
giant suitcases. Many restaurants, shopping. outlet mall, Costco, close by. It's a much different environment in Richmond compared to Edmonton.

As others have mentioned, May 2022 is quite a ways off when entry and travel rules seem to change by the day. One thing to keep in mind is a plan by the Canadian government to require full vaccination status to board a domestic flight in Canada. Since you’re from Singapore, I suspect that you’ll be fortunate enough to be fully vaccinated (and with a vaccine approved for use in Canada). You’ll need to keep tabs on what the “proof” will be coming from Singapore.

The larger issue for many on this forum is what if you’re coming from a developing nation and aren’t vaccinated (or vaccinated with Chinese / Russian vaccines which aren’t currently accepted in Canada) and your destination requires an internal flight from your point of entry?
