Hi guys,

My first post here, so be gentle! I received a medical request on December 17th. When I say 'I', I mean my lawyer did. Now unfortunately, they only forwarded this to my attention on January 5th. I got the medical exam done as quickly as I could [Jan 8th], however, they said it would take 7-10 days to process and upload the results. Seeing as it is quite likely that they wont get it done before the 30 days are up, can someone clarify what the rule is? Do the results have to be in by the 30 days or just the medical exam itself?

Thanks everyone - this is an amazing, supportive community, it is very reassuring to have people understand how stressful this process can be!

You are required to undergo the medical examinations within 60 days of the date of your medical request.

Since the medical request was dated December 17th you are all good.

No need to worry :D

Thanks for your reply astasi, much appreciated!

Although, I did just double check my letter and it definitely says "You are required to undergo the medical examinations within 30 days of the date of this letter. Failure to do so could result in the refusal of your application."

So for argument sake, say it really is 60 days. Do they mean the exam needs to be done by then or the results need to get to them by then?

It means you should appear for a medical within 30 days (if that what it says in your letter). As long as you did your medicals before January 17th you should be fine.

The medical request comes as an attachment with this email. If you did not receive the attachment you need to call/email CIC about this.

Hi,
go to some CIC panel physician and ask if he can see your UMI in his system. If yes, it points to a CIC system glitch (forgotten MR attachment) and you can undergo the medicals.

hi I already emailed cic 3 weeks ago regarding missing attachment in the email, but no reply from cic yet,do you think in this case i can call cic about missing attachment coz my lawyer said not to call cic , can you guys plz help me with this.
