3 small questions...help needed...

Hi,

I had received an IELTS Exam request from the CIC at the time i received my AOR. Last week i have submitted my IELTS score report to the CIC along with other documents as requested. Following are my questions:

a. How much time will it take now?
b. What would the next expected request?
c. Can i check my status online on any site? I had received my File Number with AOR. Also is it alright to check the status online or its not recommended (if there is any such site for status check).

there is a link on cic's website that allows you to see status. checking your online status does not affect anything. writing or calling cic for updates is what slows your application processing.

you can see processing time on cic website for processing center. 18 months on the average. some centers like accra and india may take 4 years!

in th next 6-12 months they will do an initial assessment. that is the next step.
after that you have medicals and maybe interview after that...then request for passport and landing fees.
