Hello,
I'll need a 3 months visitor health insurance in QC as I am arriving as a temporary worker. Everyone needs to get a private insurance before the RAMQ kicks in 3 months later.
This usually covers just emergency health care.
I have a pre existing condition requiring ostheopath/physiotherapy, so i will likely visit these specialists weekly. Does any visitor health insurance include this too? So far from what I understand, they can include emergency health care related to pre existing conditions, but mine would be more of a maintenance/regular thing.
Thanks for any help!

No it shouldn’t carry this. Your RAMQ won’t likely cover it either when you get it. You will have to pay out of pocket for the appointment. Do you have additional insurance through your employer? If so they will likely cover all or part of the cost of the appointment but they are u likely to cover an appointment a week for a year.

Thanks, once the RAMQ kicks in I am planning to get additional private insurance for these therapies. So I was wondering what the equivalent for that in the 3 months waiting period, if anything. Unfortunately my employer (UQAM university) doesn't cover anything.

Most private insurances will either not cover preexisting or often cost more with limited coverage. Likely you will need to pay out of pocket.
