Hi all,

Could someone guide me what does content in the following cic link means?

english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

what i concluded from the above link is that people who fall in the stated 29 occupations are allowed to apply for FSW class immigration and people from other occupation categories need to have job offer letter from a Canadian company.
I had planned to apply under FSW2281 category. Please guide me for the same.

2281 NOC not in 29 NOC fast track Catogary , if you want apply you will need to offer of arranged employment from canada.

You have understood it correctly. Since 2281 is not on the list of 29 occupations, you will need a job offer. It is not enough just to get a letter of job offer. It needs to be approved by Service Canada as well. You can read about that here: http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/eng/workplaceskills/foreign_workers/poarremp.shtml

Thanks guys for your response.

Bad luck 4 me..i should have applied earlier. I have all the things ready (inludes a DD, IELTS score of 8, PCC ) and now i come to know that i am not eligible. :(

damn the pcc took 1.5 months...huh

Yes, you would have had to apply before February 27, 2008 to escape the list. Before the list of 29 which was introduced on June 26, 2010, there was the list of 38 and NOC 2281 was not on that one either.

If you have close relatives in MB, SK or AB, they may be able to sponsor you under family stream. Otherwise, you will need a job offer :(
