It has been exactly 2525 days since I received my file number...... November 24, 2003.
I am still hopeful that I will get the Permanent Residence Visa for Canada one day no matter what.
I ain't gonna give up.

They've had your passport for a year? Is that normal for old applicants? It seems excessive to me to keep it that long.

I guess they could do that.
 
i guess you should start sending case specific inquiries to them at 3 week intervals. they seem to be sleeping over it. however i think they should return pp with visa s by jan-11.....

What, keep a passport for a year or so? I doubt. Either it has been lost in the post or somewhere. I think it will be in your own interest to enquire about it.

O my God,its taking ages, i think they want you to take your grand children accompany with you to Canada as well :)

I second this, I think you should ask the VO if they have your passport and, if so, when they expect to return it.
