I am crying as Im writing this. Im from 2015 and my security is almost a year. No answer. Let’s all go to the Parliment. Let’s all meet there. I can’t do it anymore. I havn’t seen my husband for 31 months. I am into depression. Please let’s do something. I already messaged Ahmed Hussein over a week ago and no answer. People who applied before me already got their answer.

People who applied with me and after me already got an answer. When did your security start can1989? It says on the immigration site that they will finalize 80% of our applications. I don’t know what to believe anymore.

You folks do realize that the security checks being held up are usually a result of your home countries not answering the requests of CSIS in a timely manner in order to complete your background and security checks, right?

I am sorry but I don’t agree with that. My friends who applied in 2016 for their spouses are already reunited with their husbands. They husbands are from the same city as my husband. The whole process for them took a year. It just doesn’t make any sense to me. I mean my husband’s security check has been in process for almost a year and he has no bad records. I am going crazy with this wait time.

Please calm down. I do agree with Alurra71's comments regarding the security check. If your friend's cases had been through the process, it means CIC is working promptly. For all you ppl that cases stuck in security check for abnormal time frame, first of all, CIC didn't know you and had nothing to against you, personally; second of all, if CIC had all they needed for your loved one's documents to assess the security, you should hear from them already, either be approved or be denied, it just didn't make any sense that CIC would withhold the decision.

All in all is that CIC didn't receive all required documents from your loved one's Country of Origin for CIC to assess the security.

Be careful to never fall into the trap of comparing your application to others. No two applications are alike and will and do process differently. I understand the frustration of having to wait, but its something we have all been through. Try to be patient and you will get an answer to your application.
