I can appreciate the frustration as concerns your husband's landing appointment. In life, I have learned that you get more with honey than vinegar and that goes for gov't agencies too.
Normally, requests are processed in 30 days but it can take longer for several reasons(e.g. some information is classified such as your security check and must be dedacted... you will notice the result is "blank"). You are already at the end of the process, why let this get you so worked up? Can you guys drive to the closest border to 'land'?
Like you, I also requested my GCMS notes and it took more than 60 days, but someone replied and informed me it will take longer and provided reasons. I think it's possible to get much more out of the situation with a little more courtesy. You have to decide what's more important - your husband's landing appt. or a war with CIC. Your MP can only try to obtain information for you but can not influence the process in any way.
Think about it... if someone calls your office, is frustrated, possibly rude and makes demands. Would you go out of your way to help them or get to it when you get to it? If I'm not mistaken, I think you are the lady who also works for the Feds and was moving to Ottawa/Gatineau or bought a house there?

They also did not log into their system that they called us on June 5th to come into their office for the second landing appointment June 6th (at which time they stated that their computer was broken and they could not proceed with my husband's landing appointment). I have now followed up on a complaint with the local MP Royal Galipeaut that 200 Catherines Street are not following proper procedures. Last Friday we again showed up in person to 200 Catherines St. only to be told that the supervisor Olga Matos has been away on holiday for the past two weeks and this is now the new reason why my husband's landing appointment has not been processed, however they again promised that we would get a call next week! Our CIC file that I requested under the privacy act has not yet arrived and it has been past 30 days since the request. The Federal MP's office Royal Galipeaut had tried to get a hold of someone from CIC last Friday with us sitting in front of them as witnesses. They did not get any further on the telephone. I stated that as a Canadian citizen I demand the hard copy of the CIC file under the Information to Privacy Act. Galilepeaut's office responded that they would try again next week and that I was to call them again.
