Hi everyone, I submitted inland spouse sponsorship in April 2020, got returned in October 2020, then resubmitted in November 2020 (paper). They received it on December 1, 2020. It's been 2 years of no updates or progress. I tried contacting them by phones and web forms so many time but still no updates and not able to link or track the application. web form agent just said it was still in process. Do you know what's happening and what I can do? beside the reminder to biometric fee, i got no updates, which is quite upsetting. I appreciate your help!

Have you ordered GCMS notes?

You've had nothing? No medical request, no biometric request?

yea nothing, no application number, no medical request, no biometric.
I haven't ordered GCMS notes before, is it helpful?
Because I sent many web forms and they always said the application is still in process.
I tried calling them before and they said the application was not in system yet.
who else or what else i can do?

GCMS notes are the detailed case notes which provide the exact status of your application. So yes, they are generally helpful.

It's concerning that it says your application is not in the system yet. I assume you sent it via courier and know it was signed for and received?

It sounds like there is something wrong. If you've called and they've said it's in process, insist upon getting a file number. You can try your MP to see if they can straighten it out, but if it's been sent back, they may not find anything.

MP is member of parliament. If they don't have and can't find a file number, consider it is lost.

Two years is too long to wait to see if something has happened to it. Not blaming you, just saying that there should have been something before, and anyone in this position should take the steps above and/or start over.

It is rare that it is lost but it does happen. More frequent is sent back and the applicant/sponsor don't see or don't receive (like if they moved). Stupid part of IRCC process is that when they send it back, they wipe it from their systems and can be impossible to find what happened to it.
