Hello! I would just like to seek advice about my situation. I am currently under the live in caregiver program, I got here Nov 25 2013, so its gonna be my 2nd yr this coming nov 25th. My concern is my employer will not be renewing my contract later than 2 yrs, can I still apply for Open Work Permit and Permanent residency if she release me on the end of my 2 yr contract? Thanks!

I think the best thing to for you to do is to call CIC and ask them what is the best thing for you to do because they should have the most accurate information. Their phone number is 1-888-242-2100.
However, in the meanwhile you should be looking for jobs even more than before. Trust me I was in a similar position and its not nice having your work permit about to expire on you.

Have you tried calculating your hours worked since you started your employment? try calculating it and if you reached 3,900hours, go for option 2, so you can submit your application early.
I sent my OWP/PR just yesterday for Option 2.
If your employer won't renew your contract, if possible you should send your application before your work permit expires..
