So my friend asked me this..

He applied in October and has two year exp has RA under NOC 4 some thing and 11 month as engineer with different NOC after graduating ...he applied thinking of 2 year 11 month year. I told him his application can be rejected since its a different NOC he doesnot qualify in any of them ...am I right ..I known CEC counts experience under 36 month before applying

In order to being eligible the skilled work experience has to be gained
in the 36 months prior to submitting your application.
Yes, you can combine jobs to gain the 12 months, however all jobs have to
be skilled NOC A, B or 0.

But he was a student when he was RA and after graduating work as engineer. I am not even sure if they consider him under PGWP or under two year as he applied in october

they should consider him under both streams (skilled worker and post-graduate stream). However, it is possible that the RA experience is not accepted (if CIC considers it part of his study rather than employment), in which case if he only has 11 months post-graduate work, he would not qualify.
