Hi everyone, I have a problem with my file as they provided me different UCI nmbr when they accepted my file for permanent residency. I had no idea that the new UCI nmbr belongs to someone else who have same name and date of birth as mine. At first I thought they just provided me a new UCI. When I was waiting for my OWP I called the immigration then they told me they issued a post-graduate work permit under my name and told me my profile matching with someone else then she send an inquiry for it because I applied for my OWP based on sponsorship. Yesterday they sent an email to my husband that they need his valid passport for issue a work permit as his passport expiring soon but my husband is permanent resident here. After all that mess I contacted with other girl then I got to know the another UCI nmbr belongs to her. I don’t know what to do now as on my application it’s my UCI on every document and they accepted my file under her UCI. I’m really worried. Today again I called immigration they said it’s not been a month yet since we sent an inquiry so we should wait till 21st September. Please suggest something what else I can do.
