My partner and I have been going through the outland common law partnership through the family class visa. With the original application it asked for 2 photos with the specific requirements which we completed correctly and sent with the package. When the visa was approved and they asked for the passport copies, Annex A, they also asked for another set of photos. I was slightly confused by this since they already have a set of correct photos taken within six months of the application. My partner is in a foreign country where there is not access to a facility to get pictures like that taken without significant travel. I called the Immigration line and asked them if we did indeed need to send another set of photos and the person said I don't see why you would since they already have a set, just provide an explination why you have not sent another set. Also, in our original application it said the 2 photos will be used for a PR card. The immigration phone line told me he thinks the request form is a generic one which asks everyone for photos. I sent off the package with everything except the additional set of photos.
Has anyone else come across this? I am now worried that they will send it back and ask for pictures and the process will be delayed further. Our application was in Mississauga and the passport copy was to be sent to Ottawa. I am hoping they sent the application to Ottawa so they would possess the correct photos.
