So the application is asking for the sponsor to provide evidence of the relationship and also for the permanent resident applicant to provide evidence. Should I submit a folder with all the evidence from both of us together? or should I provide evidence from me and also evidence from my spouse in separate folders so they know we both submitted something in response to what they were asking from us.

it's one application for both of u together ;) i would put all the relationship proofs in a different envelope; on the sponsor side (forms) refer to that envelope and same on the applicant side...

Ok so put all the proofs in one envelope from both applicant and sponsor right? thanks.

I'm doing one timeline for both IMM5490 and IMM5540. I have included a brief explanation to let the VO know why...

All other supporting documentation that is shared, will go in a separate folder with all the pictures, ticket stubs, and so on...

Anything specific to a particular form will be clipped to that form...

What do you mean you're doing one timeline for both of the apps?

just to clarify: we submitted 3 envelopes (groups/parts); one includes the sponsor forms and specific documents (id, pay stubs if u have, option C, tax returns, ....); the second envelope includes the applicant forms and specific documents (travel documents, birth certificate, ids, marriage cert/common-law union doc, police certificates, medical green slip, ...) and the 3rd envelope includes the relationship documents - these r common for both the sponsor and the applicant; like Fencesitter said everything abt the relationship goes here....it's up to u how u want to organize it, i just thought it was easier for them to put all the relationship part in one place....u can put it together with the applicant part or with the sponsor part but u don't need to include more copies of the same thing....

he didn't say both apps he reffered to 2 specific forms which i believe r the sponsor questionnaire and the sponsored person questionnaire; i think he is saying that he made a relationship timeline from both the sponsor side and the applicant side....either timeline or a more descriptive essay is good....

Yes, the timeline we have made is for both IMM5490 (applicant) and IMM5540 (sponsor). We will include a copy for each form, just to be sure there is no confusion and that the VO sees we have completed the last part of each form where it asks for additional evidence to prove our relationship is genuine.

As for how to organize, I'm doing it like missmini. One envelope for sponsor, one for applicant, and one for supporting documentation. For the sponsor forms, I will include any additional sheets of paper clipped to the applicable form(s). Same for the applicant forms...plus any supporting documents like IDs, birth certs, marriage license, police check, medical, etc...basically just follow the document checklist and you'll be golden.

All other relationship stuff will go in the third folder: pics, travel stuff, letters from friends and family, etc...

Thank you, you've both been very helpful, I'll do that also.
