I just paid the 1040$ fees online to sponsor my wife, i have 2 question:

1) at the bottom of the receipt, it says that I don't have to send a paper copy of that receipt if I paid online, is that correct? Because on the checklist, it says that I have to send a receipt as a proof of payment...

2) They ask me to create an account while i was paying the fees online, which I did (i've entered my email and create a password). I received my payment receipt by email after I finished the process, but what's the use of my account? I don't see any place on CIC website where I can login to access the account I have created.

1) It doesn't hurt to send a paper copy of that receipt
2) Later, you can log-in your account and get updates about your application status

1. You MUST include a copy of the payment receipt.
2. You can use that account to pay other fees if applicable. This works well for consultants and lawyers who pay fees on behalf of various clients. Or for example, a person starts out as an international student, becomes a PR, sponsors spouse, sponsors parents, etc. They can pay most of their fees through this account.

1. You have to include a copy of the receipt in your application.
2. If you need to pay other fees later (some don't pay for the RPRF right away) then you do so using the account you created. This account is not for checking the status of your application.

You have to submit paper copy of your
Fee receipt.
If you apply online application for for immigration at that
Time you pay online fee you don't need to submit
Paper copy.
