Hi, I've just received my passport with the immigrant visa. Now planning for going but there are few obstacles, need suggestion:

1) I need to work on finishing my family tasks and it will take around 1 year, so I'm planning to move after 1.5 years. So, I need to keep my job and from job I can get maximum 1 month's of leave. So, I will be coming back! But the problem is, if I don't get PR card within that period (as it ways it will take around 2 months minimum) what should be my approach? (I have a friend in Canada who might come home here near December, he may bring my card if it is allowed)

2) My spouse and kids...is it possible to ask for their cards when I (alone) reach Canada? And they will not go with me now they will come with me later after 1.5 year. That is can I on behalf of them get their PR cards without taking them to Canada now?

Please answer with current information as it is written in CIC now that without PR cards no one can get into commercial transports to enter Canada.

1) Your friend can either bring the cards to you or mail them to you.
2) No - not possible. If your family does not come with you to Canada then they won't get PR. You will then have to sponsor them from scratch in 1.5 years once you are ready to move to Canada. Note that you must be living in Canada in order to sponsor them so there's a good chance you may have to be separated for a while as you wait for their application to be processed.
