Dear experts,
i need your help
we applied our application in 2010 and we were refused for some reasons and now everything is done. now we are waiting for the medical and pcc request.
my son was 14 years old by the time we applied our application. then i filled applications by my self. but now my son is 18 years old and do you think he needs to fill some of applications by him self? i mean we have to make forms for him too? IMM 0008/ Shedule A and Family Information forms?

i would imagine, yes, if he is 18, he would need to sign the forms himself, instead of you siging them as his guardian. as for filling out the forms, it really doesn't matter who does it, as long as the answers are truthful and accurate. most 18 year olds need help filling out official forms so it wouldn't be unusual if he sits with you and you tick off the answers or you fill it out and have him approve and sign it. or he can fill it out himself. whatever is best for him. since he is 18, he is an adult, and i can't imagine cic would accept the forms without his signature.

thank you for your reply dear
but i did not mean what you said. i wanted to know whether we have to submit those forms for him self too or not. because we submitted forms only for my self and he was under my applications. but now as he is 18 years old he has to fill out forms for himself too or not. he is fluent in English and was studying in an International school.
that is no problem with that.
i dont know whether the visa office will mention that in the letter when they request resubmitting forms from me. or we have to just make forms for him and send though they ask from us or not.
thank you again dear

Yes, there are forms he will have to fill out because he is 18. It states clearly in the guide which forms dependent children 18 or over are required to fill out. For example:

Schedule A – Background/Declaration (IMM 5669)
Who must fill out this application form?

This form must be completed by:

- you, the principal applicant;
- your spouse or common-law partner (whether accompanying you to Canada or not), and
- your dependent children aged 18 years or older (whether accompanying you to Canada or not).
