Hi All,

I’m hoping to get some clarity on PGWP.

My goal is to get a 3-year PGWP and will be entering to 3rd year Bachelor of Business Admin degree. The program length is 16months via Capstone (4 consecutive terms no scheduled break) or 20months via Internship (5 consecutive terms no scheduled break).

I had checked with the University and they said their students typically are granted 3 year PGWP (of course no guarantees as it is discretion of visa officer). And, that they will provide a letter to support the program being a year three and four program and the program start and end date.

I’ve asked for official program length but this is the response they’ve given (that they will provide letter to support year three and four program and program start and end date).

I have been researching and typically the program length is what is referenced by visa officers. I am confused at what program length this BBA degree will be listed since it covers Year 3 and Year 4 of Bachelor’s degree in 16 or 20 months with no scheduled break.

Please share any insight if you think this would mean 20month PGWP (I intend to go for internship - 5 consecutive terms no scheduled break) or this will be eligible for 3 year PGWP.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to weigh in.

its kinda confusing the way you put it, do you mean you want to jump to year 3 and 4 and do it in 16months? or are you second year student going year 3 and 4? which School is that...?

Hi,

Yes, basically 2nd year student that will transfer/enter as Year 3 and 4 of a Bachelors Business Admin degree. The school is Royal Roads.

Year 3 and Year 4 of the BBA program is completed either through consecutive no scheduled breaks full-time 16mos (via Capstone project) or consecutive no scheduled breaks full-time 20mos (via internship).

Do you have any thoughts on PGWP that could be granted?
