Re: Seeking refuge - appreciate your valuable advice

There is no way. You need a Canadian visa. As you've correctly discovered, no airline will let you board a plane without a Canadian visa.

Re: Seeking refuge - appreciate your valuable advice

Which country are you coming from? and it really depends how desperate are you

Re: Seeking refuge - appreciate your valuable advice

Firstly Which country are you from?

Secondly

1) Are there people in your home country specifically looking to kill you
2) In the last 6 months did you get beaten up have your bones broken, shot at, knifed at or arrested by the police?
3) Who are the people looking to kill you
4) Are you related to any religious parties, any political parties, are you a former war criminal who has not been tried

Re: Seeking refuge - appreciate your valuable advice

even if you get to canada somehow, the rules have been changed.

In 60 days you get a hearing date and they kick you out if you don`t qualify.

Then,I do not think you`ll ever be able to come back.

That only applies for certain countries and thats the reason I asked about his nationality

None of these, i'm just trying to flee the war in my country. Again whether will be accepted as refugee or not is not the question. The question is how to get there to claim refugee ?

we are not helping people to flee from somewhere my friend.
that is illegal.

Re: Seeking refuge - appreciate your valuable advice

Then you really dont qualify for refugee, and this is something I tell everyone. There are lots of bad things happening in the world just cause you want to flee from it dosent make you a refugee. You have to meet certain conditions to become a refugee and if those conditions are not met then you are not a refugee. You will be blocking the space for a genuine refugee whose life is really in danger. This obviously will not be fair to the system nor the real refugees or even the Canadian tax payers

I'm not looking for anything illegal at all.

You started this thread by asking how you can get to Canada without a visa.

Re: Seeking refuge - appreciate your valuable advice

are you serious? ok then? which Canadian border? because Canada is a big country

Re: Seeking refuge - appreciate your valuable advice

I said canadian border, there is big difference....

Then the answer is easy.

You can't fly to Canada directly. For that you need a visa.

If you can get a visa for the US, then you can go to the Canadian border by land without a visa. However the Safe Third Country agreement states that you must claim refugee status in the first "safe country" you reach. In this case the first safe country you reach will be the US. If you decide to try to claim refugee status in Canada instead, you may be turned away at the border due to the Safe Third Country Agreement.

Either way - you need a visa for somewhere. Either Canada or the US.

Scylla, its really nice of you but you are wasting too much time behind this person over that they are acting smart with backhanded comments to people who are trying to understand their situation

I will give him/her 1 option, and its something I recommend all non-genuine refugees to do.

Swim across the Atlantic, if you make it alive to the Canadian border then you can try your luck to claim refugee, failing which you'll become famous for swimming the Atlantic all by yourself and will appear in the Guinness book of world records. If you drown at sea then it was God's will and not meant to happen. Its really that simple. Either ways you are a winner for the experience and determination.
