Or course not unless it is an emergency. Pregnant women are known to be more vulnerable to covid. Most OBs and L&D wards are not set up to receive those who are in quarantine or covid positive. It would put both OBs, their staff and other patients at risk. You are coming from the US which is a hotspot and if you and/or your husband are practicing physicians that means you are at higher risk of potential covid exposure. If you do go into labour you will likely be sent to a special area of the hospital for those suspected of covid and you need to be very open about your quarantine status before entering a hospital or medical office. If you do go into labour during quarantine you should be calling the hospital ahead of time so they can activate their protocol for potential covid positive deliveries. Would also add if this is the case that will significantly increase the cost of your care because it seems as though you aren’t planning on meeting the residency requirement to receive free healthcare. Would also add that if your husband is in quarantine he may not be able to join you if you are in labour.
