120 days mystery

Could kindly anyone inform me that from what date 120 days to submit documents at Visa specific office are counted? Is it from the date documents are received at CIO Sydney or it from the date when you get confirmnation of eligibility to immigration and asked apply at the Visa specific office? I have got confirmation of immigration eligibility from CIO Sydnay on 4th June and today I have got the email that 120 days have been elapsed and my file has been close. I am very distressed, could kindly any one enlighten me in this regards ASAP.

The 120 days limit starts when you receive the Approval and file number from CIO instructing you to submit documents within 120 days to your designated visa office !! can you check your Acknowledgement Of Receipt (AOR) again and see what date is written on it (Top Left Corner).

Date on a e-mail I recieved from CIO is 04-june-2010. and if the 120 days start from this date then I am still in the time limit of 120 ! do not I.

yes, email is definitely a mistake. just gather all your documents and send it CHC with a cover letter. also send an email/case specific inquiry to ur local visa office about the mistake.

if the date on the AOR is 04-june-2010 then still you are in 120 days range. but don't delay. send your completed docs asap!
