According to the rules you should get only a 8 months PGWP, but many people are given a 12 month PGWP. It depends on who processes your request at CIC, if they are a stickler for rules than 8 months

u will
Provided with one year PGWP bro ... Do not worry about this in their papers you are having one year course so they will
Provide one year .... PGWP .. If u are more lucky you may be rewarded with more than one year work permit ....

Thanks allot for responds, i'm worried coz on the cic it says if you study for 8 months you are eligible for 8 months pgwp and i'm planning to apply for CEC so basically it will be a huge disaster if i was issued only 8 months plus its no very enough time to find a job in the noc and start working

Hi there,

Just wanted to know that how did you go with your plan? was it a success beacause i am planning to do the same. One year certificate and then CEC

Hi, sorry for interrupting the post and asking another question related to PGWP. I see you are a hero member so you might have a decent answer for me. I'm a masters student, this is my 2nd year. I had an authorized Leave of absence last summer (medical leave) then I returned on September 1, 2018, as a full-time student and till now everything is okay. The new rules say that if my leave is authorized, I may be eligible for PGWP. Did you encounter any case similar to mine and ended up having a successful PGWP? Thank you.
