Hi all,

I am Canadian Citizen i got married to my girlfriend around 10 month ago and our marriage is in genuine .Actually she is not a Canadian ,

We submitted the case under spouse sponsorship status 7 month ago inside Canada , Included Medical

Exam and police clearance ,and everything was clear and good.

we got a letter from CIC saying (the 1 st stage is fine),

Our Questions,

1- Would you please tell us what they are talking about, and what will happen next.?

2- Is it allowed or when can we apply for a permit to work for my wife?

Thank you

1. Next step is a "landing" interview at the local CIC.
2. She can apply for an open work permit as she has received approval in principle.

I have a question PMM.

Can my husband who just got approved for PR and received his OWP at the time of First stage interview. Can we travel back to the U.S.

It's an emergency and we don't know what to do... we don't want to be stopped at the airport for him being denied re-entry into Canada. I am a canadian citizen and we have our son going with us. My husband is US resident and he has multiple visa's for canada.

Everytime we traveled back to the US previously he was questioned on the way back why he was coming into Canada, but now he has his PR approved but his application is in Process, he has his OWP and a Visitors Visa.

I'm scared of taking a risk but we have to go as it is a medical emergency.

What should we do in that sense?
