Have to ask. My husband showed me document in videocalling. I dint see yet all details of document. But guess looks like our ecopr but still empty the field for place and date of landing.

Hello for those who have received their passports back and copr, was the validity tied to the date you got your medicals done?

Yes. They cannot give you a visa date beyond the validity of your medicals because your medicals has to valid when you land or they may ask for another one. Medical is valid for just a year.

Its called COPR not ECOPR. You get ECOPR by signing into the PR portal and then getting virtual landing. The PR for dependants will be approved and they will be given COPR and single entry visa but they are not permanent residents until they land at the airport ( physical landing) and then CBSA will fill the empty field in the COPR and put a stamp on it to indicate when they became PR. They can also get their SIN at the airport once they are done with CBSA.

Im my previous message i said copr. I know they need to do the landing for to be PR.
I wasn't sure about the portal because their cases are different than us. Who are inside canada and main applicant.

At last the wait is over!
Our timeline:
Sept 2022 application received by ircc
Febuary 2023 processing started
April 2025 principal applicant gets pr in Canada
October 30 2025 biometric request for dependents
Febuary 26 2026 - medicals request, pcc , imm forms and pre arrival for dependents
September 26 2026 ppr
30 September passports submitted
October 8 2026 passports collected .

my opinion, if they dont get the ppr soon, they will ask for new medical because too short time to travel, unless you buy last minutes tickets. but remind the PR visa will be valid until the medical expires and that means they have to do the landing by april. must rush.
