I have curious questions, for people who have PR already and get RTD,what difference between RTD with PR and RTD without PR? I know 2 years duration without PR and 5 years duration with PR.is the type PR and xxb still mentioning at RTD with PR ? Thanks

I think with the new design the only difference is the 5 years validity.
Now they have PR type in the bio page. :D

The difference is there’s that you are now required to travel with your PR card as well as a PR. You are viewed as having much more secure status in Canada by most countries which is why many countries will allow you to visit with PR and an RTD versus with just an RTD. You may still need a visa to make sure to verify before booking any travel.

A PR does not necessarily receive a different-looking RTD simply because they became a PR. The RTD remains a Refugee Travel Document, while your Canadian immigration status is now Permanent Resident.
RTD → issued in Canada to a protected person/refugee for international travel.
PRTD → issued to a Canadian PR who is outside Canada and doesn't have a valid PR card, mainly so they can board commercial transportation back to Canada.

Hi everyone,
I’m an inland PR applicant in Canada and I recently received the email saying that my PR application is ready for finalization. I’m currently waiting for my PR Portal invitation (P1/P2).
The problem is that I already have a trip to the US planned for vacation.
I have a valid Canadian Refugee Travel Document (blue travel document) and a valid US visa, and I have travelled to the US before and returned to Canada with these documents.
My question is:
If I receive the PR Portal invitation while I’m still in Canada but I’m planning to travel to the US before receiving my e-COPR, what should I do?
