I have received my eCoPR today, after 2 years and 12 days.

Just to share my PR timeline: I submitted a webform on August 2, 2026, requesting an update on my application, and I received my Portal 1 (P1) email the very next day. Since I applied from Toronto, my file was moved to the Montreal office after I received my Pre-Arrival letter. From the time I received the Pre-Arrival letter, it appears that my security/background checks were already completed, and the remaining PR process was finalized very quickly. In my case, the entire process after that stage was completed within 10 days.

U already became a permanent resident when your eCOPR was issued. This is the PR card application being finalized.
You would not be worried about the “photo still in review” right now. Since your address has already been approved and you received a ghost update, the next update u would watch for is Photo : Approved & Final decision : Approved, then you may see a message indicating the card has been mailed. U could expect your Card, by around August 28–September 1, 2026

To some of us with the PR card. What are the chances of applying or Visiting Visa for overseas spouse? Does the chance of approval increases?

The IRCC officer still has to be satisfied that the spouse will leave Canada at the end of the authorized visit. IRCC specifically requires evidence of ties such as employment, home, financial assets or other circumstances that support returning home. Positive factors should be shown. No employment/income + weak home ties + unexplained funds + long/indefinite visit + inconsistent information = higher risk of refusal.
