Update:

Very happy to finally get an update after a very long silence. There had been no ghost updates or anything since medical.
Any updates?

A couple notes. I applied late on Dec 9 so the system shows Dec 10. My updates tended to be borderline 9 and 10. My FD date on gckey is actually showing August 20 but it didn't update until today a little after 2pm EST. At the same time yesterday there was a ghost update on gckey but nothing updated until today.

Hi everyone,

After reading through the posts here, I realized there might be a delay with my Inland Spousal Sponsorship application and would love some input:

- Applied: Dec 2, 2025
- AOR received: Jan 22, 2026
- No updates since then.

When applying, I actually overpaid the initial fees ($1,260 + $660) thinking RPRF had to be paid separately, but I didn't pay the specific $85 biometrics fee.

After 8 months of zero movement, I finally paid the $85 biometrics fee 2 weeks ago and submitted the receipt via Web Form. I also linked the application to GCKey, but there is nothing to track (no updates on eligibility, background, or biometrics).

I called IRCC and the agent said nothing is wrong with the file and that it's just processing, giving the standard "every application is unique" answer.

Has anyone experienced a similar delay after submitting the biometrics fee later via Web Form? How long did it take for the BIL to be generated, and is there anything else I should do?

Thanks in advance!

This thread is for outland applications, if you applied inland then that is a very different timeline than outland and there might be nothing wrong. I can't say for sure because I'm not familiar with how inland applications go. However if you applied as family class in canada (which is still considered outland, even though you're in Canada already) then there could be a problem, in which case you could try to order GCMS notes.
