Can any inland Nova Scotia share their timeline for AIP PR application.

My friends timeline

Endorsement May 2025

PR Application April 2025

Biometrics and Medical July 2025

No update till now, still waiting

Anyone who got pr recently with AIP in Nova Scotia ? Can you share your timeline

My friend got selected for assessment for Nova Scotia AIP through EOI. They asked for updated documents which he will provide. However, they also asked for personal and residence history form but he dont find any link or reference of form number which need to completed. Anyone has idea what need to be done in this case

No. Call NS office but the employer would have their own contact when they submitted job offer.

Your friend's timeline is perfectly normal right now. Due to a significant backlog, AIP PR processing times currently average about 26 months, even though the official IRCC target is 11 months.

Key Things to Know:

Background Checks Take Longest: The time between biometrics (July 2025) and the final decision is usually the longest stage. This is because background and eligibility checks happen quietly behind the scenes.

Work Permit Expiry: AIP work permits are closed, cannot be renewed for 2 years, and are not eligible for Bridging Open Work Permits (BOWP). Your friend should ask for a C18 closed work permit support letter from Nova Scotia if their current work permit is nearing expiration.

If their application exceeds the 26 month mark without any updates, they can submit a single IRCC Webform inquiry to check the status.
