Hello, I am preparing my evidence, I have lots of documents, some very long, I do not have much money for the translations and not all information is relevant for the claim. My question is should I translate the whole documents or just extracts? for example a document of 60 pages, should I translate it completely?



Some of my supporting documents are quite long, and professional translations are very expensive. Several of these documents contain many pages of procedural or administrative information that may not be directly relevant to my claim.


Would you recommend translating the entire documents, or would it be acceptable to translate only the relevant pages or excerpts that support the key facts of my claim?


I want to make sure I prepare the evidence in the most effective and cost-efficient way while meeting the RPD's requirements.

yes, why? in what cases? there are documents so long, that I think that is not feasible to translate it all. it does not make sense.

Excerpts or highlights may or may not contain all the relevant information required to make a decision. What you feel may be relevant may require further clarification from sections you don't include, biasing the relevance. You would be including information without including potential clarification of that information.

The question to ask yourself "does including this information improve your claim based on the balance of probabilities?" Do these documents provide definitive proof that directly affect your claim or are they generalized documents that only enhance definitive proof you have? Don't over complicate your claim. Quality over quantity.
