Need Advice: Mistake on My Canadian Study Permit Application

Good day, everyone.

I need a little advice. I submitted my Canadian study permit application a few days ago, and after submitting it, I realized I accidentally selected “No” for previous visa refusals, even though I have previous refusals from the UK and the US. It was a genuine oversight because I was so focused on my SOP and completing the rest of my application.
As soon as I realized the mistake, I submitted an IRCC webform to correct it.

Do you think this could negatively affect my application, or has anyone experienced something similar?

You did the right thing submitting the webform immediately. IRCC has access to refusal history from other countries through information sharing agreements, so they would likely see the UK and US refusals anyway. Proactively correcting it shows it was a genuine oversight, not an attempt to hide anything.

The key distinction IRCC makes is between an honest mistake that you corrected vs deliberately concealing information. Since you caught it yourself and reported it within days, that works in your favour. Just make sure your webform clearly states the countries and approximate dates of the refusals.
