I have a few questions about the physical presence and travel history sections of the Canadian citizenship application.

- We became permanent residents and landed in Canada in Feb 2023.
- We had never been to Canada before becoming permanent residents.
- Our five-year eligibility period is from June 2021 to June 2026.
- Since becoming permanent residents, we have taken only one trip outside Canada—to our country of origin in 2024.
- Physical presence: When recording time spent outside Canada, do we need to include trips taken before we landed as permanent residents in May 2023? If yes, how should we enter trips taken between other countries—for example, from Egypt to Dubai—when the form asks for the “date you left Canada” and the “date you returned to Canada”?
- Travel history: I included all the places where I stayed during the five-year eligibility period in my address history. Is there also a separate travel history section where all trips must be reported?
- Minor’s application: I am applying for my five-year-old child. The minor’s application does not appear to have a section for listing individual trips. It only asks: “Has the minor been outside Canada for a total of 730 days or more (two years or more) in the past five years or since becoming a permanent resident?” My child has been outside Canada for only about 30 days since becoming a permanent resident in May 2023, so I answered “No.” There is no place to list those trips individually. Is that correct?
- I was born in a country different from my country of citizenship and lived there for four years as a minor dependent of my parents. We then returned to our country of origin. Should I declare this in the “Immigration and Citizenship Status” section, or does it not count because I was a minor at the time?
