I forgot to add my kid's passport to my submission

Hi everyone,

I just submitted my 2nd Express Entry application and noticed I uploaded my child's medical exam twice by mistake instead of his passport.

I sent an IRCC Webform right away with his passport attached, but I'm really anxious because I've read about Webforms not being linked to files in time, leading to rejections for incompleteness.

Since I already went through a previous refusal, I’m panicking a bit. What are my chances of having the document successfully added to my file? Has anyone had a positive experience with this recently?

You did the right thing sending the webform immediately. IRCC does link webform submissions to your file, it's not instant but it usually gets attached within a few days. The fact that you included the passport in the webform means there's a record of you correcting the mistake right away, which is what matters.

If you want extra peace of mind, call the IRCC call centre and ask them to confirm the webform was received and attached to your file. They can sometimes see it on their end faster than you can. Keep a screenshot of the webform confirmation for your records too.

Your welcome. The webform is enough. It creates a formal record on your file. The call centre is mainly useful for peace of mind, not required. If you can't get through don't stress about it. The key thing is you caught the mistake and corrected it quickly, not weeks later.

Unfortunately you are still at risk to be rejected for incompleteness as these rejections are almost always automatic.

But you have done everything you could. All you can do is wait until you get a biometrics request, then you can be sure that you are good.

I just called IRCC and they confirmed the document is now attached to my application. should I still worry about a return?

IRCC call agents can't confirm that, it's not a very reliable and trustworthy source, as strange as it may sound.

You can relax only when you get a biometrics request.

I get your point, but I never mentioned the document type. She guessed it herself saying Is it your kid's passport? and I only did that on purpose to test if she could actually see it attached to my file and she confirmed.

The agent could see what you sent via the webform. But no agent can tell if it's really attached to the application or whether it will be considered as is.
