Visit Visa long processing

What happens when i applied to visit because of a wedding and now because of unexpected long (almost 80 days now )processing time the wedding has passed
does that mean im going to get automatic refusal ?

No. It will still be processed. IRCC doesn't really care that you had a wedding to attend...harsh I know but the truth.

Thanks for responding, i had read somewhere earlier that since the primary reason isn’t valid anymore then the officer will refuse it but i’d just keep waiting then .

No it can still be approved if you have a strong profile - funds, ties to return, travel history, spouse and children etc.
