Hey, thanks!
Not really, the usual timeline is anything between 4-8 weeks. Current processing time as per IRCC for new PR cards is 37 business days.
My wife's PR card also arrived sometime between 30-40 business days.

No, it just appears one day in your mail, will inform once we receive it!

No, but you can link your PR card application in GCKey account just like you would for any other application to know when they approve it.
In your GCKey simply select Permanent Resident Card in the Category field and then provide details about yourself
