Hi everyone. Has anyone at all received a final decision, without mandamus, after being in comprehensive security screening recently?
I've been checking forums and online groups everywhere, and I haven't seen anyone share a final decision timeline in months. Has anyone come across a recent case?

Hi Ana, one reason is when someone gets their FD they immediately go out of any forums and never come back to update the timeline, how long have you been in there ? Because i think if you havent passed 20 to 24 months in just the security , you are still in early stages, and Yes i know some one that gets his FD after long security

Thanks for your reply Night Sky. I have passed that. I have been in security screening since Feb 2024.

This one does not count, it is CEC, not Non EE PNP, mine is now 22 months (security check started Oct 2024), and I am thinking of taking it to the court by the end of this year

Does that mean comprehensive security screening can take different amounts of time depending on just the application type? So does CEC generally take less time than non-EE PNP?

It is not officially stated anywhere, but based on what I have seen during my 28 months of searching for a reason for this delay, I came to the conclusion that even CBSA and CSIS prioritize the security screening of Express Entry applicants over our non-EE ones.

Eh it's not true. Take a look at immitracker data and it looks like the applications stuck in security for 18+ months are 50-50 between EE and PNP. What data are you basing your observations on?

I'm non express entry applicant PNP, and I'm in process over 40 months since I did submit my aplication. Or 2,5 years (31 months) on security check. No government job , no military history I work as engineer in construction. This long period of time is hell for me.
What I did found out from my MP or from notes is that my case on review from June 2025, and MP did found out that my case was assigned to different office really I dont know what that means. IRCC or CBSA did ask documentation from my country and that they did received and now they doing that review.
Im sure that nobody is working on my application as well I dont see that any one have any progress here.

All of these observations are anecdotal as the entirety of the data fails to even match the representative sample size.
