I completed my citizenship test back in January this year, with passing score of 16/20. However, a day after I got an email saying the result wasn't accepted, I was first cool with it, hoping to get another chance to take it. They said they'll send re-test invitation, yet I'm still sitting here waiting. Today as Sep 27, 2025, it's been 8 months and so on. Like this can't be normal right? I searched up online and people usually wait for couple weeks or at most 1-2 months to retake the test like this is ridiculous. I did send an email to the office of course, but just got a basic answer saying they'll review the application. Like wow, so helpful. What should I do at this point? Would it be a great idea to visit the office? I doubt if they'll say somewhat different from the email I got.

Plus, how long did you guys wait for new invitations? I just wanted to check if anyone else also went through the same situation of mine.

Hi did you hear from them yet?

Waiting 8 months for a retake really does seem abnormal. Especially when other people are being given a new exam date within a few weeks or a couple of months. I think in this situation it’s better not to rely only on emails, but to actually visit the office in person or try contacting them through other channels. Sometimes, after a personal visit, the process suddenly starts moving much faster.
In general, there seem to be more and more stories like this lately, and people are increasingly sharing their experiences on different websites and forums. By the way, I recently came across https://mrtysonfury.com/ — there are some interesting discussions and useful information there about various situations as well.
