Hello everyone,

I've found Express Entry has a new draw category for French Speakers. I read that in order to qualify one must score CLB 7 in TCF/TEF.

Would the system automatically recognize one is eligible under that category?

For example under CEC with CLB 7 TCF I would have a 536 CRS score, which could possibly get me an ITA. In order to get invited to apply under this category, would I just need to create a regular CEC profile and the system would automatically recognize it or would I need to create a French Proficiency profile?

From the latest french proficiency draw it seems french proficiency is a stream based on pre-existing main streams such as CEC or FSW.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank you.

From my understanding, the French proficiency draw operates within existing streams like CEC or FSW. Is this correct, and does it affect how profiles are evaluated for ITA?
