Congratulations!! My father is also from ex-service background. Have you applied through yourself or through agent? I'm worried because I m seeing people getting stuck in background check.

We did it ourselves.i think processing time is faster for this year

I got approved in IRCC Portal. Tracker is still not updated.. We are going in really fast processing queue

Background check: In progress
PPR: Approved on April 16 2026

Eligibility: May 7 2026
Background check: March 30 2026

The Passport was received in IRCC on April 23rd and this is the status.
Your application, tracking ID No.XXXXX, has been received and is under process at the IRCC Office on 2026/04/23

I guess after the eligibility, it should now be stamped and released.

Not yet. It is still with IRCC since 23 April

Just got the update

Wondering the same thing. The passport has been at New Delhi since April 21st, and this is the latest status via the VFS tracking system: Your application, tracking ID No.20260421INMAPKTXXXXX, has been received and is under process at the IRCC Office on 2026/04/23

I received the Passport return update as well
