I am a Canadian citizen living abroad for more than 20 years. My husband who is not a Canadian citizen has visited Canada on visit visa 4 times since we got married. This year my nephew is getting married so we decided to attend the ceremony. But he got refused twice with the reason that they think he’ll not go back to his home country. What a nonsense. He owns his own house property and business and he also runs a non profit organization. Why would he sacrifice all that to live in Canada. He attached all his assets bank statements and tax returns. And IRCC officer still thinks that he will leave everything behind just to live in Canada. If he wanted to live in Canada then he could have asked me to sponsor him as I am Canadian even our daughter is a Canadian citizen. I think that officer should feel sorry of what he thinks.
