When my Express Entry profile was created in August 2025, I engaged an unregulated immigration consultant to assist with setting up and completing the profile. This individual entered my work history information directly into the system on my behalf. And I did not bother to check what he had submitted. He claimed three years paid work experience for an unpaid internship I did for only seven months.
Fast forward to March 2026, I identified both the ineligibility of the unpaid role and the significant inaccuracy in the recorded duration. So I totally removed the experience and added two actual paid work experiences I did.
Does this count as misrepresentation? What issues am I most likely to face?
